I hope you all had a great weekend!We were lucky enough to go with friends up to Lake Burton this weekend and we had such a great time.
The weather was perfect – it was warm during the day and cooled off a bit at night.
We could swim during the daytime and then bundle up for a sunset cocktail cruise on the boat so it was the best of both worlds!
I know fall in Chicago is gorgeous, but I really do love having the warm weather temps longer here in the South.

I wanted to share one of my favorite pieces for fall:

a few pictures from the weekend………..
Friday we went to Pasta Du Pulcinella in Midown for dinner and loved it!
They are known for their ravioli and it did not disappoint.
It’s a cute little restaurant in what looks like an old house in the heart of downtown on this quiet little street.  We were lucky enough to sit outside on the patio and it was perfect outside.   I highly recommend it!

Saturday we drove up to Lake Burton for football, boating, and more food than you could imagine.
I made my Crack Cheez It’s and they were gone almost immediately. They are the easiest snack to have on hand to munch on for the road trip and also at the house between meals!

I also made Ina’s Potato Salad to have with ribs for dinner!
It’s such a easy, simple recipe but it is so delicious and perfect as a side with any grilled meat!

We had a great time and it was a much needed little getaway!

Oh, and the time when I live in these snap pullovers is back!
I have them in 3 colors because I wore them CONSTANTLY last year.
They are the coziest things ever and I can’t get enough!
