I officially look like an old lady on my daily walks with the girls,
AND I LOVE IT. No shame.
The gigantic sun hat is always on because the baseball cap just wasn’t cutting it anymore.
I’ve had melasma for over 5 years (started way pre-pregnancy for me, and continues to change locations over the years on my face) and this year I added retinol into my skincare routine.

I’ve worn sunscreen on my face for years and haven’t put my face in the sun without a hat on for a long time, but now that it’s warm and sunny and we’re going on long walks every day the sun was getting my cheeks and lower face even with a baseball hat.
I got this sun hat from Amazon and LOVE IT.
The back is adjustable which is great for a good fit and wearing it higher or lower on your face
and MOST IMPORTANTLY the hat also has added UPF 50.
An added perk is that it currently covers my roots while I wait for my amazing hairdresser to highlight the hair out of my hair and bring me back to blonde!
I’m not wasting my dry shampoo right now…. HEYL NO.
just kidding… I do shower daily, but only because I usually need to.
still not washing my hair regularly though – I haven’t gone THAT crazy.
For face sunscreen I use Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen or Elta MD UV Clear.
I love the Supergoop Unseen so much – I wear it alone or mixed with my BB/CC cream and it goes on perfectly smooth and kind of acts like a primer. It feels like silk on your skin. (Supergoop sells a Primer version but don’t bother – I’ve been told the Primer doesn’t work as well with makeup as this one does which makes no sense but whatever!)

I also love the EltaMD UV Clear – perfect alone or mixed in with makeup. It makes me a little shinier than the Supergoop, but when I’m not wearing makeup I will just use the EltaMD and save the Supergoop for Make up Days! (which are like…. 1 day a month currently?!) 
seriously nails right now…… so so bad….
Now that my face is fully covered it’s time to get A SHIRT. I have a serious sports bra/workout top tan going on currently on my back (and ankle tan from my sneakers.). I try to put sunscreen on my arms and legs before we leave but it doesn’t always happen when wrangling two babies into the stroller and it’s also just impossible to do my back every time.
(Supergoop is my go-to body sunscreen too that I switched to when I was pregnant and love so much. I literally have this gigantic jug and a smaller bottle too that I refill. )
I know there are tons of cute rashgaurds/swim UPF tops, but I am needing something for walks and playing outside and I feel like the swim tops likely won’t breathe as well/etc (?) so for this post I am only rounding up athletic style tops! It seems like a lot of you were interested in this on instagram so I’ll work on a rashgaurd/swim top post too if you like!
I ordered this affordable under $20 option from Amazon earlier this week
and am waiting for it’s arrival (hopefully sooner than it says it will!)
