Cheers to Friday!

Some links to entertain you before the weekend:
1. The images for this Britney Spears Lifetime Biopic look like it's going to be a real winner.
2. Mariah sure does move on fast.
3. I am so excited for the VS Fashion Show; here is some behind the scenes pics.
4. WHAT?! My-boyfriend-Andy-Cohen is moving the clubhouse!?
5. Amanda Seyfried pregnant has become her real life Mean Girls character.

Today I wanted to share one of my favorite shoes that has been on repeat.
My mom ordered these for me a few weeks ago and I love them.
You may know we have a thing for monograms on anything and everything.
If you can put a monogram on it, yes ma'am, please do it!
I live in these monogrammed ugg boots all winter long.

They have been selling out so I listed a couple different places to get them.
and that little bit of printed quilted puffer vest you see is 60% off

I also am in love with these monogrammed duck boots.
These would have been a life saver in Chicago!

a few of my favorites from J.Crew that were out of stock from all of the black friday/cyber monday madness are back in stock so I had to share!!
and 30% off
I was so in love with this colorful fairisle sweater and scarf, and they are back in all sizes!
I think I love them so much because they are Christmas + Holiday without being red or green.  It's a refreshing change.
theres a cute hat too!

also back in stock:
the adorable eye mask yet and this cream wool skirt

Random question:
Do any of you do Dollar Shave Club
I am SO SICK of running out of razors and then going and spending a fortune to get more.

I think I am going to sign up and give it a try, but wanted to see if any of you do it?
If you do and they give you referral codes where you get money off of your membership for yourself, shoot me an email taylor.oshay@gmail.com and I'll sign up with your code so that you get something out of it!

Hope you all have a great weekend!!

discuss amongst ya-selves......

:: OC Reunion Part III ::
This feels like it was forever ago, because it aired the Monday before Thanksgiving!
It was a whole lot of the same.  That darn Kelly and Vicki being horrible for the most part.  The two of them deserve each other.

There was lots of re-hashing Glamis (drink!) and the accident and the non-visiting-Vicki in the hospital.  Why couldn't they just bring her a damn casserole Vicki wonders!? Perhaps because even her own daughter Bryanna didn't believe her mother.  More likely, it's because you're a horrible person.... but hey, what do I know?
Daring Shannon to get hurt and see if she visits her in the hospital is a great move proving just how horrible she is.  But then again, so are most of the things she says and does during all THREE parts of this darn reunion.

loved this part.
Tamra and Vicki go back and forth yelling and pointing fingers screaming "I'm sick of your $#*t" and I rewound it twice to re-watch and laughed a little to hard at it.

and then a lot more happened but opinions from part I and II remain.  Kelly is the worst, Vicki is the worst,  and I'm glad Meghan stood her ground and didn't let Heather walk all over her.
in happier news, Meghan King Edmonds had her baby this week!
She named her Aspen.

Anyways...... I think we're all kind of ready for an OC break after that three part reunion.

I'm apologizing in advance for not giving this show as much time as needed.  I feel like I need to do a whole post just on these people and everything wrong with this show.

James continues on his high horse that everyone is just extremely jealous of him.
"When you're high everyone wants to pull you down."
I mean.  He's a bus boy and a DJ at a restaurant and weighs 95 pounds soaking wet. No one can touch him! Haters!

James is dating a "good girl" that does pageants and helps special needs kids...
something isn't adding up.... this chick is lying and is going to be like that girl Tara that won Miss USA and had to admit she had a drug addiction.  No one normal and that helps special needs children would touch James with a ten foot pole.
ALSO.... something tells me this girl has no future in Miss USA'hood.  But hey, what do I know.....
.... cut to him crying outside of Sur when Ken and Lisa get mad at him.
and then him crying again.

The "mean girls" (Stassi/Katie/Snaggle-Turned-Veneered-Kristin) in this episode are taking it even further than I ever thought they could.
No one likes Lala.  Fine.  Whatever.
But to yell at a friend for speaking to a co-worker AT work and tell her she's not allowed to talk to her?
How can you not speak AT ALL to someone you work with?
Lala asks Scheana how her weekend was, and she has to say she can't speak to her.  JUST SAY IT WAS FINE HOW WAS YOURS.
Life is about talking to people you don't want to talk to! Responding about how your weekend was is just human decency.  These girls are HORRIBLE.
I can't even imagine what high school bullies are like if this is what waitresses do to the hostess at the age of 30.
editors note: the irony that I am comparing  Katie, head bully charge (never saw that coming), to high school girls when she is coloring in a coloring book and picking fights with her boyfriend when he barely says a word is not lost on me.
This episode and what plays out between these girls is LITERALLY what Mean Girls is all about.
Also, one other tidbit of advice to Scheana other than to lose the mean girl streak that the mean girls have put into her is to lose the blue contacts in her confessionals.

Why is Tom making Ariana a Groomsman?
I'm confused.

There has been lots of chatter about Scheana and Shay and the state of their marriage.
{In this week's episode she is saying they are happier than the day they got married..... so that sure went downhill fast}

Yesterday, news broke the Scheana has filed for divorce from Shay.
there has been some crazy back and forth publicly on social media (accusations of cleaning out bank accounts, etc).
I'm wondering if it's those Hydroxycut chews she's been pushing that started all this.....
Didn't anyone tell her those diet pills make you crazy?
Lay off those gummies girl.... and the blue contacts.
:: DWTS ::
I was so excited for this season finale because I loved all of the finalists.  The top 4 actually.  Which never happens.

I was really, really happy for Val and Laurie, but I did really love the Racecar driver and Sharna, so I felt bad that they didn't win.
New news : Derek Hough is not returning next season! (sorry mom).
He is going to be joining J.Lo's new dance show..... which you know I will watch because I LOVE ME SOME J.LO.
:: ladies of london ::
We discussed Tuesday how horrible the promo's for this season were.
Them singing some weird slow song of "hey girl" from phone booths.  Then the second commercial of them alternating in creepy voices singing "our country tis of thee"/
Come on my-bf-andy-cohen! You're better than that!
This first episode is always just an intro usually.  And the drama already has begun.

Caroline Fleming (the Denmark blonde) is just so adorable.  She has that Kate Hudson/I always look young and glowy and fresh look.
and I feel like she looks like emma from the spice girls back in the day in some shots.
anyways, she's adorable and I want her perfectly-OCD-organized closet.

I sense some serious tension a-comin' for Caroline Stanbury and her friend/now ex-sister-in-law Sophie.Especially after the giant s-storm went down at the wine/tea party at the end of this first episode.
Everyone went after Julie all at once.  Especially Juliet, the brunette American, because much like last season she is so desperate to be Caroline S's BFF.
(RHofNJ reference: Juliet is definitely a "soldier" for Caroline S)
Juliet drives me nuts with the stuff like that, but whatever, I still like her.  I think I like all of them? But I'm probably speaking too soon......

I really wish there weren't two Carolines, a Jules/Julie, and a Juliette.
This makes recaps RULL hard.

Brandi Glanville did this and posted it on instagram this week.
and captioned it something about the reason for the season.
She is truly despicable.
And that's the nicest way I can put it.

Why am I still watching this crap? Even as background noise?
I think this week was finally the finale.
Thank GAWD.  No need to discuss.
Summary : every episode was fake and awful.

A commercial was on for the WWE show on E! Total Divas and I was thinking, that guy looks familiar.  And then later when changing channels it showed him talking..... and I immediately yelled "IT'S THE GUY FROM ROAD RULES"
Look at that!! Someone from Road Rules + years on The Challenge has actually "made it".
I forgot he was all into the wrestling thing....
when I'm googling, nothing is coming up, so tell me if I'm crazy (well, yes, but crazy over this) or if that is him.
Because I usually am never wrong about identifying anyone that has ever been in anything on television ever.  As in, watching a McDonald's commercial I will scream knowing what they were in before.

IT WAS SO GOOD. I laughed so hard at Chip.... Kip smiles at the TV while we watch it whenever Chip is being crazy and it cracks me up (does anyone else creepily watch their husband when they watch TV shows they like?) Thank God he doesn't read this blog so that I can talk about him behind his back so frequently...... but anyways, it's super cute.

start's Sunday! set your DVR's!

if you read all of Tuesday's post, God bless you.
Unfortunately Fortunately, I am still on my Barry Gibb kick.
so please enjoy these gif's, because you know I am.

Ohhhhhh my husband.
I'm singing in Barry Gibb voice "livin it up.... on the barry gibb talk show.... talking bout politics.... talking bout, crazy cool medallions"

and he is looking at me like I'm a crazy person because he has no idea what I'm signing.
Kind of like he did with the "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas song."
Not knowing what either of those are is unforgivable.

as always, ignore my own blatant grammatical errors whilst I make fun of others poor grammar during coffee talk on a weekly basis.
#hypocrite  #sorryimnotsorry

I write these posts late at night while simultaneously watching Bravo, taking snapchats of my snoring husband, and making to do lists of everything I was supposed to do and didn't do that day and likely won't do the next day either.  or the day after that.

First of all, my apologies in thinking that Ladies of London had started when it hadn't!  AHH!
I am delusional.  The shame and guilt for leading you all astray is real.
The season premiere was last night -- I hope I didn't mess anyone and their DVR's up!
We decorated our tree last night, so I was only able to watch This is Us last night and part of the Lea Remini Scientology show.  Was everything amazing?! Ladies of London?! I have some serious catching up to do tonight for Coffee Talk!

Today I am back with another gift guide!!

Today's gifts are geared towards the fitness lover.
These also make great gifts since January is right around the corner.  If you or anyone you know is like the majority, new years resolutions will include being healthier or working out more, or simply trying to cook more meals at home, and all of the gifts below are perfect for that!

If you've been debating a fitness tracker for awhile, the Fitbit Alta seems to be the best option there is.  It has amazing reviews unlike other trackers or older models.  This one also can show text messages and calendar alerts in addition to monitoring your sleep, activity levels, and more.

By now I'm sure you know how much everyone loves their Swell water bottles  for keeping their water cold or other drinks warm.  The hard part is choosing a design! I love this beautiful blue ikat pattern so much but the options are endless.

You know I'm a sucker for a graphic tee. I just can't help myself.  And one involving fries? Sold! This "Exercise? I thought you said Extra Fries!" tank is too darn cute.

Everyone is all about the spiralizer this year!! Make pasta-free and beautiful dishes without the guilt, and avoid paying lots of money for pre-spiralized veggies at places like Whole Foods, with this inexpensive favorite kitchen gadget.

It's a Love/Hate relationship with this foam roller
But it's a necessity and hurts so good after just a couple of minutes.

The nutribullet was one of the best purchases I made this year. Seriously.
I bought a refurbished one off of Amazon for super cheap incase I ended up not liking it, and I love it.  It blends through everything in seconds for a quick and delish breakfast or snack.

Nothing gets you more in the mood to workout than cute clothes!  I love these colorblock leggings and they are on sale for only $22 today. Workout clothes don't have to be expensive to be cute!

There is no cuter gym bag in the world than this after this we're getting pizza workout bag and bottle. Sometimes (most of the time) you need that meal as motivation :)

Some girly bling for your music with diamond ear buds ; nothing worse than working out without music as a distraction (or TV/Netflix in my case....)

I absolutely love the first cookbook from skinnytaste.  I know that this skinnytaste fast and slow cookbook will be no different, and especially in the winter months it is so nice to come home to warm a meal in the crockpot after work!
Other ideas any girl is sure to love:
A Classpass membership (the first month is only $19!), classes to their favorite studio, or joining Tone It Up.   And as I'm sure we all know, don't go gifting workout classes to someone who has no interest .... something tells me that will end badly for you :) so know your audience!

Something no one would ever be upset with would be a massage of course!
Pamper someone for all the hard work they've put in and work out those sore muscles!

Happy Gifting!

I feel like it's been so long since we've just talked :)

...... probably because it has been.
I can't believe we've arrived at Christmastime celebrations!!!
This is the first time in 12 years I have had this warm weather for the Holiday Season and it has taken some getting used to.
But before I get into too much Christmas excitement (I'm watching CMA Country Christmas right now and LOVING IT),
let me catch you up on the last week or two.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving week + weekend with your family and friends!
I had a post for last Tuesday catching up on lots of stuff and then the flu unfortunately hit.
So we'll do the catching up now!

The weekend before Thanksgiving, my in -laws were in town for the weekend and it was a whirlwind.  They are the type that are go-go-go.... and I'm, well, as you probably can tell, not.
Hours of yard work and serious physical labor and they are smiling and asking "Okay what's next!?!" while I'm ready to collapse and sleep for 18 hours from exhaustion.  I should have been popping Caffeine pills Jessie Spano style to prepare for the 3 day visit.

They helped us out SO MUCH with home projects.
On Saturday, we filled 35+ yard bags.  No lies.  After that I stopped counting because it was making me nauseous.
We have a lot of trees in the backyard and a big pretty one in the front, which I thought was wonderful and beautiful, but the weekend of back breaking work had me wishing we were back in Chicago with zero yard and zero home projects whatsoever :)

update: the front and back yard are completely filled with leaves again. HELP!

We (aka not me but I did a great job pretending to be of assistance) planted flowers around our mailbox and also at the front of our house.  Everything looks so much prettier.

killer iPhone photos I know :)

We also finished getting cable set up in the den.
These were the home projects that excited me the most!
Woo Hooo!!!!!
I'll share photos of the den progress next week.  We have the countertop for our built in bar area getting installed on Friday!!
I still have to go pick out new hardware and then it will be complete.

I was supposed to be in Chicago for Thanksgiving, but the stomach flu hit hard last Monday and I was unable to function for days.  It was kind of nice to be home alone with my mom for a few days though, despite us not eating and feeling awful.  Kip went up to spend time with his family, and then I flew up on Friday to Wisconsin for his cousins wedding.  Unfortunately, I was in bed by 9 PM both nights and wasn't myself, but it was still good to get to see everyone for a little bit and to spend some time with Kip.
I got to fall asleep in a big hotel bed watching Christmas movies and sleeping for 12 hours both nights so it actually was pretty nice.  Silver lining.

I am finally feeling better.  Food was a tough thing even yesterday, but I feel like I am finally able to get back to my workouts and normal weekly routine.
Positives of the flu: I hit my Cayman Christmas goal weight :)
I'd like to think it's because I have been working my ass off, and that I barely drank any alcohol at all the last 3 weeks, but something tells me it's probably because I barely ate anything without getting ill.  Unfortunately, I'm sure the moment normal amounts of food enter my body today that number will climb back up a few pounds.
editors note:  I forget how cutting out booze can really help things.
if only I didn't like my Ramona Pinot Grigio so much I feel like I'd just have a banging bod year round.  Sometimes I envy those that have no desire for wine..... but then I realize..... No.  No I don't.

To those of you reading that "no, no I don't" in the Barry Gibb Talk Show SNL voice:
You are my soul mate and best friend.  Call me.
seriously I love these skits more than life.

My mom got me the new cookbook from my girl Ina Garten, Cooking For Jeffrey.
I've been unable to look at food until now, so I am excited to snuggle up with it and read it before bed like a real book.  I always read her cookbooks cover to cover and I know I'll love this one even more with her sweet notes about Jeffrey.
If only everyone could be as happy as the two of them!

Completely unnecessary, but I just feel the need to share:
PSA: do not buy these giant avocados called Slimcados at the grocery store despite them looking so fun and yummy.

They are not.  They taste awful.  And I am very confused by them.

Ladies on London is back!! I'm excited because I really like the show, but how CREEPY were the commercials promoting this new season?

The singing of "Long live the Queen" and "My County tis of Thee" was simply cringe-worthy.  And seems SO unlike anything the ladies would ever agree to do.
I'm glad that mousy moody model girl Annabelle is gone and that Caroline's sister-in-law Sophie (who LURVED to drink last season!) will be part of it this year!

Tonight is a VERY exciting night in Television.
Fixer Upper with Chip + Joanna returns!
I can't wait!

Scientology scandal abounds with Leah Remini's new show premiering tonight!
I always meant to read her book, but hopefully she'll reveal all we need to know in her show :)
I don't know what it is about the Scientology stuff but it is so fascinating.  Plus, I love her and think she is hilarious. King of Queens will always be one of the greatest shows to ever air and Hallelujah for daily reruns.  We never get sick of it.

UGH.  I just feel like a weight has been lifted!!!
I finally got to write a whole post complaining about housework, discussing my favorite SNL skits, sharing too much information about the flu, and getting excited for reality TV premieres.
Also, congratulations and I'm sorry if you've read all the way to the end of this.
you know how I love to ramble when given the opportunity.....
