Cayman Christmas Recap

I guess I haven’t gotten much better at

my procrastinating resolution,

because I think Christmas was 3 weeks ago,

but here are some pictures from our

annual trip to Grand Cayman for Christmas

it was beautiful as always. counting the days already to next year!

the best day of the trip was when we went to stingray city

which we do every year, but this year we chartered our own boat

and went out in the morning so it was only us and one other private boat

it’s a sandbar in the middle of the ocean where hundreds of stingrays come and you get to swim and feed them

stingrays surrounding the boat as we pulled in

and the they were definitely hungry

this one in particular loved me

or maybe it’s because i kept feeding her squid….

we caught a bunch of fresh conch

and the boat captains made fresh ceviche while we cruised around

and I mayyyyy have eaten the conch penis

because they said it is the delicacy

so why not?

it was an incredible christmas as always.

Monogram Monday

hope you all had a great weekend 🙂

mine involved a lot of relaxation and his and hers cocktails on the couch

these ice balls are used constantly!

you all know I would monogram my forehead if possible,

and not even bother to get bangs to cover it, snatch

so when my mom gave me these while I was home I freaked out!

time to go outside and annoy more people

by wearing 8 monograms at once.

Friday Randoms: Mean Girls, Sparkles, and Recipes

I need to get this wine to celebrate the coming of every Friday.

For New Years Eve I made two recipes to bring to the party.
and I used this cute little spatula I got for Christmas

First, I made Momofoku Butter Cake Bars. I felt like these were similar to Paula Deen’s Ooey Gooey Bars that I have made before, but these turned out much better. The beau has ignored his healthy new years start and has eaten all of the ugly bars I left in the pan, so I’m thinking they’re pretty good.

They couldn’t have been easier to make too, with very few ingredients.

The other snack I brought was Mini Cheeseburger Sliders.

My friends had told me about this recipe, and I honestly can’t think of a better party dish to bring. I heated them up a little after midnight when everyone was ~~hammered~~ getting the drunk munchies, and these things are absolutely incredible.

These may not look like much, but trust me they are definitely one of the best things I’ve ever brought to a party, and who can say no to anything on a Hawaiian Roll? Recipe can be found here.

now that new years is over,

are we not allowed to wear sparkles?

i hope not

but if so, this sparkle blanket would be a great

way to incorporate them into my every day.

well, there haven’t been too many new episodes of shows with the holiday break to discuss, but good lord a lot of celebrity couple gossip has been going on.

I feel as though I should start with KimYe, because obviously the two most important and egotistical people in the world deserve to be spoken about first.

sure, season 3 of Bethenney Ever After was a pretty good indication that things were not too happy in their apartment. but i just love him so much. I was hoping she was finally going to “break the chain” with him as she says.

The Bachelor starts on sunday,

and while I couldn’t care less about The Bachelor, we all know I will watch every single episode. The crazy girls make each episode oh so exciting.
