ummmmm HOW is it Memorial Day Weekend?!
Can someone explain this to me?! I’m so confused…..

If you are cooking/baking this weekend I highly recommend this really easy Blueberry Angel Food Cake that I’ve made for summer holidays in the past (recipe from Liz Adams) – it is so pretty with fresh blueberries (or strawberries!)
You could even by a store bought angel food cake to make it SUPER easy.

I’ve seen a lot of “our plans” vs “2020” memes/images going around on instagram,
but nothing has compared to this Sex & The City version.

My friend and I were messaging about it and she said “if Berger isn’t coronavirus in human form….” and it really resonated with me.   He was the worst….. ALTHOUGH…. I can barely watch the final season because Alexander Petrovsky was truly terrible.  So, so bad.
but I digress……

How Sweet Eats is one of my favorites to follow and I LOVE when she posts her summer reading lists. 
I always agree with her book choices.  ALL of them.  She has the best beach/summer/vacation reads….errrrr so I guess this summer it’s more like stay-locked-in-your-house-and-dream-about-beach/summer/vacation reads?!

I should confess that I have not read anything since about week 2 of quarantine…sooooo….since MARCH.  I’ve been going straight to The Great British Bake Off on my phone while I fall asleep.  And ya know what?! I haven’t missed reading one bit….
BUT.  One of these days…..

I re-shared my Hydrangea tip on instagram this week.
There are several things that make them last a long time, and I rounded them up in this post, but to me the EASIEST thing that has made mine last longer than 3 WEEKS is just change water every 2 days, remove leaves, trim stems at deep angle AND THE KEY cut a big slit up the stem so it can soak up more water.

I started my at home Zo Retinol Peel last Friday and have been updating on instagram.  I no longer look like I laid in the sun for 68 hours straight and am slowly peeling! I had hoped to be done peeling by today or tomorrow but think I am going to peel straight through the weekend which is fine.  Not like I have anything exciting going on this year 🙂
My husband says I have gone from looking like a burn victim to then just really dark and tan and now I’m splotchy with areas peeling and other areas still waiting to peel .
But overall it was painless – just TIGHT skin some days, hot skin other days, and now itchy.

(I’ll do a whole post on the peel when I’m finished but it is a medical grade product you have to get from a professional and they will determine the steps based on your skin, etc.  Or if it is even right for your skin! I buy my medical grade products from Laurel @ The Look By Laurel and have met with her twice in person (pre-quarantine) so she has been helping me with my skin since the end of last year!
