discuss amongst ya-selves…..

amanda bynes continues to go insane.

it is amazing.

now she has decided that she wants to be black,

pierce her face, and turn into a pseudo-christina aguilara right when Stripped came out mixed with a current Nikki-Minaj.

dear ~~ashley~~ amanda, it didn’t/doesn’t look good on them.

and it doesnt’t look good on you.

So in one of the MOST ~~dramatic~~ boring seasons of The Bachelor EVER,

especially after Tierra left,

Sean picked Catherine.

The girl who all season rarely smiled, never looked Sean in the eyes, and constantly stared off in the distance or at the floor when talking to Sean. When she met his family, she told his parents that they just laugh and smile so much together and that’s how she knew she was in love!!!

All of this was said without a single smile or laugh.

At the After The Final Rose she was finally actually smiling and laughing. Probably because she can see the day when they can finally do more than hold hands and kiss on the horizon.

They want to get married SOON. They are in LOVE and READY.

Read: he made a religious promise to keep it in his pants, but is ready to get at it again, and she is acting like she is totally great that it’s in the pants, but is secretly freaking out that she is marrying a person she barely knows and reallllly barely knows at all in the bedroom.

So ready to get married = so ready to …….

But congrats. The ring is amazing; you both are nice, normal, and seem to have normal families.

That’s a big first for the franchise. Touche.

Desiree was anounced as the Bachelorette,

and Justin Beiber’s mom is upset!!

She wants love!!!!

The 37 year old who acts like a teenager (I think it was Oprah I saw her on years ago? It was pathetic) also tweets like a teenager: “OMG OMG OMG!!! NOOOOO. Seriously Sean!?”

I love me some Gwynnie, but I’m not so sure I’d love to live with her.

She keeps her kids on a low-carb, gluten free diet because all that crap is bad for you.

Obnoxious Marisa is apparently as drunk and high as Kim previously was, because she insists on calling Kyle’s husband MAURICE over and over again. Why is it so hard to get his name right? And why the hell doesn’t he correct anyone?

ps. why do you keep wearing your hair like this?

p.p.s. the only time we can even slightly pretend to want you on the show is when your hot husband is present, yet you continue to be on without him. not cool.

The return of Dana (aka PAM) was just plain amazing.

I haven’t witnessed someone trying to light a cigarette for 15 minutes off a candle since my (10x more fun than life now} college days.

Andy my love, less Marisa, more PAM!!!!

There is just no better way to end this than Pam.

Crack of the Week: Key Lime Cake

With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner

I thought I would test out a recipe a little early.

I traditionally dye my crack cakes green,

{check out the infamous crack cake recipe here}

but Tricia Yearwood’s recipe has been

calling my name for weeks now.

Tricia Yearwood’s Key Lime Cake

I love key lime pie, so I figured I couldn’t go wrong with this.

This cake is sooo yummy.

And obviously anything topped with cream cheese frosting is amazing.

I would recommend trying the cake without the glaze the first time, or maybe only putting glaze on half of the cake. It adds such a strong lime flavor, that although it is good, I felt it overwhelmed the cake a little bit too much.

Cake:

Butter, for greasing pan

Flour, for dusting pan

One 3-ounce package lime flavored gelatin

1 1/3 cups granulated sugar

2 cups sifted all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 cups vegetable oil

3/4 cup orange juice

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

5 large eggs, slightly beaten

Glaze:

1/2 cup key lime juice (from about 25 small key limes or 4 large regular limes)

1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar

Icing:

1/2 cup (1 stick butter), room temperature

One 8-ounce package cream cheese, room temperature

One 1 pound box confectioners’ sugar

Directions:

For the cake: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease and flour one 9-by-12-by-2-inch cake pan.

In a large mixing bowl, mix the gelatin, granulated sugar, flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Stir to mix well. Add the oil, orange juice, lemon juice, vanilla, and eggs. Mix until well combined. Pour the batter evenly in the pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Test for doneness by lightly touching the tops or inserting a toothpick. Cool the cake in the pan for 5 minutes then turn out onto a cooling rack.

For the glaze: While the cake is still hot, mix the lime juice and confectioners’ sugar together well. Pierce the cake with a fork to allow the glaze to soak in better and pour it over the cake on the cooling rack. Allow cake to cool completely as you prepare the icing.

For the icing: Cream the butter and cream cheese. Beat in the confectioners’ sugar until mixture is smooth and easy to spread. Spread the icing on the top and sides of the cake.

Cook’s Note: you can also use three 9-inch round cake pans and make this into a layer cake.
