Cheers to Friday!!!

image

First, lets bow our heads and have a moment of THANK YOU LORD for
the return of Will + Grace in a 10 episode revival!

OH {pause} MY {pause} GAHHHH. as jack would say….
but of course there is no gif of that so we’ll do this instead.

I now have plans to do a full will and grace gif post to show NBC my appreciation.

Worth Reading : 31 daily ways to save (in January, or everyday).

I thought there were a lot of great tips in this article!

One that I will be implanting for sure: getting a library card. After reading Biana’s book recommendations I realized Amazon is robbing me blind, especially when the books I order only are only available in hardcover.

…. adding library frequenter to my 2017 list of intentions……

Is this top too showy?

Or rather, am I too old for this? With white jeans?

I have warm weather trips coming up,

and I meannnnn its navy and striped…..

the heart wants what the heart wants.

// STRIPED WRAP TOP //

But I fear my time has passed.

cough : comment below that I can TOTALLY pull it off and I’m not too old.

A reader, Stacie, sent this to me and it is amazing. (thank you!)

It’s a compilation of tweets about Corinne, and someone created a twitter account named @CorrinesNanny.

// 24 of the Best Tweets about Corinne //

Someone posted this on Heather McDonald’s Juicy Scoop page (which is mostly nonsense, I was expecting more, but then you get gems like this).

Dorit is Amanda from Friends that has the fake British accent who never stops talking about herself.

Watch this mash-up; it really was a perfect comparison, and I loved it.

:: FRIDAY FAVORITES ::

1. You can never have too many striped tops.  Love the shorter in the front, longer in back.

2.. The side slit in this workout tank is so cute.

3. A different version of my favorite new purse in 4 beautiful colors (the blue is gorgeous).

see my designer knock off here

4. The emerald color of these earrings, and the price, is perfection.

5.  Stripes + Eyelet + Navy + A Dress = ME!

I am off to my second class at Blast and praying I survive again.
I finally got new sneakers and have a bad blister,
so I’ll be using that as my excuse if I am “running” like an 80 year old.

:: COFFEE TALK ::

discuss amongst ya-selves……

:: BACHELOR  ::

The Corinne shows continues!

We start with the rose ceremony that didn’t happen last week.

Corinne is drunk (come to think of it, she always seems drunk. I can’t tell when she is and isn’t drunk?)

and she takes off her dress and starts putting on a trench coat.

….. and then has Nick lick whipped cream off of her.

Seriously.  This happened.

And it would be one thing if she just tried it and Nick shut her down, but Nick FULLY participates. WTF? This guy is a scum bag.

Then she goes upstairs and goes to bed, snoring.  Before the rose ceremony.

Nick sends 3 more blondes packing…. he’s really not into blondes

(Corinne is the exception… for now… for other reasons clearly).

GROUP DATE:

They get to meet the Backstreet Boys (!!!) and dance on stage with them.

In all honesty, if I were a girl on this show I would be ecstatic.

I would think “Even though STD ridden Nick ended up being the Bachelor, at least I got to dance with the Backstreet Boys.”   It’s not *NSYNC, but I’d take it and love it!

There is not one thing sexy about him.   This walk onto the stage was perfect Exhibit 492 of that.

and Nick puts Ben Higgins and his skinny jeans to shame with all of this horrible hipster attire.

I think I’m really liking Danielle, the one with the killer rack that Nick loves, who won the best dancer award and the one-on-one serenade from BSB.  Plus, she’s like, really pretty.

We then get to the nighttime portion of the date.
After Corinne’s nap, she tells everyone about her nanny Raquel.
This is the highlight of the episode.

Of course this is unbelievable so the girls assume she must be a mother and the nanny is for her kid(s).
“Do you have kids?”
“No.”
I mean, who else is going to cut her vegetables!? Come on!?
But you know what? “It makes her happy, and (she) isn’t going to deprive the woman of her happiness.”
I think she is officially the greatest “villain” to ever be on this show.
She has provided more in 2 episodes than we get in full seasons from the crazy girls.  And that includes Bachelor in Paradise and Lunatic-Lace, which is really saying something.

One on One Date :
Vanessa gets such a cool date – they go up in an airplane and get to do an astronaut/zero gravity thing.
Nauseating, but amazing.
Again, these dates are SO much better than the dates of the past.
Vanessa pukes her brains out after being up in the air,
and then looks GORGEOUS in her commentary.
Nick, who has said nothing and has zero emotion this season, and has no problem holding breasts and licking whipped cream off of a girl in front of 15 others, CRIES and says Vanessa makes him feel optimistic.
Bull. Shit. (to be read slowly like Matthew McConnahey when he says bull. shit. momma. in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days)
RUN VANESSA.  RUN LIKE THE WIND.

Another Group Date:
Somehow Astrid won the one-on-one time.
Wonder how.
Just kidding she really did win a race, but something tells me this situation helped immensely.
Crazy-Eyes doesn’t hide his affinity for a large chest.
Speaking of chests, instead of a cocktail party before the rose ceremony, they put the girls in their ‘kinis!
We have seen more skin this season than ever.  (maybe not beating Bachelor Pad this time…. yet….)
Corinne is thrilled to take the layers off, and then steps it up by taking him to bouncy house and straddling him.
(she needs naps, her idea of a surprise is to make Nick feel special with a bouncy house….. I mean….. she really does seem to require a Nanny. She probably doesn’t use real scissors and instead uses the child-safety ones).
The girls see yet another moment of Nick being gross and crossing a line in front of them.
FINALLY the girls are going to start standing up for themselves and saying “Listen loser, if you’re just here to d*ck around, I’m leaving. Corinne and you can live happily ever after.”
Those maybe aren’t their exact words per se; I’m just paraphrasing for ya.
annnnnnnd with Nick in the hot seat, we get a
to be continued……

:: BEACHES, Lifetime Edition ::

If I hear or see the commercial for Beaches one more time I am going to lose my mind.

They are never ending.

Idina: Do not sing that “I can fly higher than an eagle” in that nasally voice as though you are Bette Midler.  You are not Bette Midler.

I’m sorry
her voice with that song makes me INSANE.

:: VANDERPUMP RULES ::
There is so much discussion of this “d*ck pic” that if I ever hear those two words again it’ll be too soon.
Well… in general I think no one wants to hear those words, but you know what I mean.
Leave it to the Vanderpump Rules kids to really take it to a whole new level.
editors note: my-boyfriend-andy-cohen counted how many times they said it and it was something insane like 27 times.
It is Katie’s bridal shower.
Katie is the meanest of the mean, so I hate to say this, but that Taco Bell tower was GENIUS.
I need to go back in time and have a McDonald’s display at my bridal shower. Damn!

Britney’s mom is in town visiting and clearly is on mind-altering-medication because she is completely oblivious to the disgusting (sorry not sorry, he is) human being her daughter is dating.

She asks if they have found a church to join and I’m thinking… Oh sweet Lord, you have NO idea.
I can’t even think about Jax without this happening:
Truly.  It is my physical response to him.

I probably shouldn’t share this….. SO I WILL!
When they were saying “d*ck pic” 27 times about his penis, I couldn’t help but picture a syphillis/crabs/chlamydia whatever it is covered thing that they showed you in sex-ed when you were younger.
If anyone is going to have that, IT’S HIM.

I NEED TO KNOW WHO LALA’S BOYFRIEND IS.
It’s killing me.
Y’all tend to be my best source of information so, please, if you know anything, I’m begging you.
I promise I won’t post anything online about it, but I NEED TO KNOW.

also, am I the only one who wouldn’t have known what an “NDA” was if it wasn’t used in context? I knew what it stood for because of the conversation, but if someone said “What is NDA” I would have no clue and these LA people just throw it around like their lawyers.
but maybe I’m the only moron that thinks people say “non-disclosure agreement”
and maybe I should have deleted this whole paragraph because really, who cares?
Ariana and Tom were on WWHL.
I think she is such a gorgeous girl, but seriously what is that rat-tail braid extension that goes down to your ankle that you have in your hair?
I couldn’t even find the bottom of it…. it was on the floor somewhere.
When Ariana’s hair is what I’m concerned about, and not Tom’s flat-ironed with blonde bleached tips only the right hand side of his head, there is a problem.
:: RH OF BEVERLY HILLS ::
Every scene with Dorit and PK is the same.
They are in the kitchen, with a nanny, getting a child to eat food.
Then they go up to the bedroom to get ready for something where she puts on a new outfit, and they discuss the same thing over and over.
The first scene with Dorit, she says to PK
“So you know this whole Erika panty thing……. ”
I.CAN.NOT.

PK is repulsive and his behavior and choice of words about all of this is not okay.
 I can’t discuss anymore.
so, I’m moving on……
and of course they showed up on the apprentice this week with boy george. get off my TV PK!
How much advertising in The Agency going to get?
Last week it’s Agency hats and visiting him at The Agency for lunch.
This week we’re going to see their huge property listing in Malibu.
I like Mauricio, and I love seeing the houses – especially one as insane as this one – but that is what Million Dollar Listing and your cameos on that is all about!
Save it for the British boys and let’s keep this focused on the ladies.
I have had enough husband air time with PK!!  it’s as though he’s the 7th housewife I can’t handle it anymore!!

Proof that children growing up with that much wealth and accessibility to everything have completely different brains that the rest of us: Portia, Kyle and Mauricio’s 6 year old daughter.
“If Portia gets a yacht, she has already has her name picked out!”
“Rosé you say”
I mean…. discussing yachts AND rosé …. isn’t that we all did growing up?
Lisa Rinna and new-housewife Eden Sassoon meet up to gossip.
It goes straight to Kim talk.
Rinna, why are you saying you think she’s “mostly sober but not completely sober”
What? How the hell would you know?!
I don’t care for Kim at all, but it’s just so out of line.
Also, can we just stop talking about Kim in general because I am SO over her being a character on this show.

Then Rinna tells us in her confessional the definition of an enabler.
OH. That’s what that means? Thanks Rinna. We had NO idea what an enabler was.
She continues the baseless trash talk…..
Kim’s close to death? Kyle’s an enabler?
SHUTTTTT. UPPPPP.

Just because Eden was an addict and they both have lost siblings to addiction doesn’t mean you have a right to sit there and talk about it.
Plus, like I said, Im just SO over Kim as a part of this show.
So. Can we not? MMmmkk thanks.
Eden is turning out to be super strange.
She says she “doesn’t get love” from Kyle the moment she meets her.
Um. You just walked in and made eye contact for the first time! You’ve known her for 2 seconds. Is she supposed to hump you and act like she wants to be a lesbian with you the way Dorit did in order for you to “feel the love”?
Simmer down!
Then she goes to lunch with Kyle and starts asking her THE MOST personal questions you could ask anyone about their family.
STAHP. IT.  My skin was crawling.
It was so, so, so inappropriate.
We get it Eden.  You’re into “energy”.
But lock it up.
Eden continues, discussing Kim, who she also has known for 2 seconds and met once.
“I feel sad. I feel pain.”
I would have been like ummmmmm righhhhttt this is all really hard and difficult for YOU, Eden.  I’m sorry.
I truly want to rant about this for a full paragraph but I’ll hold back; if I were Kyle I would have lost ma-damn mind.
editors note : I want the mirror in Kyle’s hallway outside her bedroom.
Kyle and Erika go to Greece and I am so jealous and want to be there.

Dorit meets with Erika and RInna to once again, for the 17th time (??) hash things out, and I swear it better be over.

UGH previews for next week we’re back to Boy George and him and PK being a huge role.
Nothing against Boy George…. but I’m over him and PK being supporting roles in Dorit’s scenes.

:: TOP CHEF ::
Tonight is…..
RESTAURANT WARS!
I am giddy. I hope you all are too.

:: NASHVILLE ::

I meant to comment on this last week.

I watched the premiere episode(s) when they did the 2 hour thing to kick off the new season…. and I can proudly say that I am saying NO.

No means No!

I am walking away.  It’s still that bad.  Like a bad boyfriend, it is not worth my time and energy when it doesn’t fulfill me the way so many other (great TV shows) can.  So I’m going to take my energy and attention to networks and shows that really deserve it 🙂

seriously… slow clap for me.  I’m not a quitter (of television).

Also, saw this in my gif archive and just wanted to share again because I loved it.

do we think she’ll be back?
because if Dorit is teaching me one thing, its that even though the popular opinion from everyone is she is HORRIBLE, she sure is giving the show some stuff to work with.
and Kelly Dodd gave the OC plenty to work with this past season…..

EDITORS NOTE :

as always, ignore my own blatant grammatical errors whilst I make fun of others poor grammar during coffee talk on a weekly basis.

#hypocrite  #sorryimnotsorry
I write these posts late at night while simultaneously watching Bravo, taking snapchats of my snoring husband, and making to do lists of everything I was supposed to do and didn’t do that day and likely won’t do the next day either.  or the day after that.

:: wish list wednesday ::
lusts for the week…….

I have blush on the brain this week ever since seeing this gorgeous skirt.
I would say that this gif reminds me I haven’t seen Steel Magnolias in forever and should watch it this weekend,
but I cried enough watching This Is Us last night,
so I think I’m good for the week!

SPLIT NECK SHIFT DRESS // BELL SLEEVE TOP // EARRINGS
MIDI DRESS // SNEAKERS // PURSE
BLUSH CROSS FRONT BLOUSE // RUFFLE SHIFT DRESS // SIDE SLIT WORKOUT TANK

I am in love with the pink split neck shift dress, and it comes in several over gorgeous colors.
I have been needing a new pair of sneakers for a while now, and this pink pair is definitely in the running.
I have shared this purse before, my purse purchase for winter that is a look alike for an expensive designer style.
I have a short sleeved t-shirt version of this cross front blouse and it gets a lot of wear.
This little ruffle side shift dress would be perfect for so many occasions (and comes in another gorgeous color that I share below).

The blush and bashful Steel Magnolias moment got me thinking about the grey armadillo wedding cake, so why not some grey favorites for this week too!

GOWN // REVERSIBLE TOTE + CLUTCH  // FLUFFY SHOE PINS
LAYERED SWEATSHIRT  // DRAPED COAT  //
FLATS // FLUTTER SLEEVE TOP // DROP EARRINGS
My gown post on Monday left me drooling with dozens of others dresses I didn’t share.  This simple grey gown is so stunning; I love the high neck, the center slit in the front, and of course THE BACK!
The reversible tote and clutch is a steal of a price, and a great color combo for winter into spring.
I have been seeing shoe clips around lately and thing they are so cute and such a fun idea to change up what you already own.
Layered pieces are my favorite (2-for-1 without the bulk!) and this layered sweatshirt would be a perfect daily piece.
Still can’t get enough of the draped coat I shared last Wishlist Wednesday.  Gorgeous.
Love the blush + grey combo on these d’Orsay flats.
A ruffle sleeve top for everyday where.
The perfect pair of drop earrings for day and night!

and one more color I can’t get enough of:
MINI DRESS // FIT AND FLARE // RUFFLE SLEEVE TOP  // ASYMMETRICAL RUFFLE DRESS

I have some warm weather trips coming up and this color keeps being the one I am drawn to.
I love the under $100 mini dress with the ruffle hem, perfect with sandals and will take you into night.
And I think I like the ruffle side shift dress in this punchy coral color even better than the blush…. but can’t decide!

:: fitness + health for the new year ::

January 17, 2017

:: fitness + health for the new year ::
image

We’re a little over halfway through with January, the month of re-dedicating ourselves to be our best selves, usually including healthier habits with diet and exercise.

And January makes me really step it into gear – it’s like the “new week, fresh start” mentality on steroids.

Along with many others,
I made some health and fitness resolutions for the new year.

I’ve done health and fitness posts in the past because it’s something I always love reading about and learning about.
Keep in mind, I am an expert on nothing. NADA.
. which as one of my readers you are probably already well aware of 🙂

via my Instagram on January 15th. it seemed the perfect day to post the pillow.

I am far from the healthiest person but I try to incorporate healthy things to balance out the not-so-healthy and wanted to share what I’m up to recently!
Also, it’s January, so I’m still all motivated and full of intentions; I have to soak it all up while it lasts…. which is hopefully longer than January…..

One thing I’ve said before, the best thing that works for me to keep me on track is writing down my workouts and what I eat. I have done it for years.

Theres nothing that holds you more accountable,
and similar to how checking off to-do-lists brings satisfaction,
I like seeing all of my workouts and what I’ve done.

:: FOOD ::
To be 25 again and eat and drink my face off without a care in the world would be great…. but despite my wishes, it isn’t happening. (I can still hope…)
There are two things that I feel finally helped me a lot, after a year of struggling with plateauing and having the last couple pounds refusing to leave.
My Nutribullet and 21 Day Fix.

You can read about how much I love the NutriBullet and smoothies for breakfast in this post.
One thing I haven’t talked about it the 21 Day Fix.
This changed my mindset for eating to lose weight entirely.

My one girlfriend did this and raved about it, and Nat had raved about it too, so last year I ordered the cheap containers on Amazon (I wasn’t interested in their workouts or Shakeology, just the food part).
The principles behind it work, it’s super simple, and nothing is “off limits”.
I’m really glad that I did it because it made me look at my “healthy eating” entirely differently.
I was having overnight oats or greek yogurt and granola for breakfast, chicken with brown rice and veggies for lunch, and quinoa veggie bowls for dinner.
Healthy right? Sure, but I ate too much of all of those things.
21 Day fix showed me that when I was putting a 1/2 cup of chickpeas and a 1/2 cup of quinoa in my dinner bowl, that was ALL of the carbs (yellow containers) I was allotted for the entire day.  Who knew chickpeas were counted the same as bread??
I’d have half an avocado diced in my veggie bowl which was 2x (or more) of the healthy fats I was supposed to be having.
WHAT?! BUT IT’S HEALTHY?!
THIS IS A TRAVESTY.
In all honesty, I WAS PISSED.
And then I realized that if I was going to try to lose weight and not just maintain, I needed to change my meals.  No more overnight oats or granola with breakfast if I wanted to have quinoa or chickpeas later.
I also learned that I barely ate any protein whatsoever.
Forcing myself to eat more protein changed my meals and soon I was balancing the carbs and the protein much better.
I can do a post on daily eating for 21 Day Fix if you want!
OH. And you don’t even need to order containers, just look for the container counts and the sizes online and you can see if you are allowed 1 cup carbs, 2 cups fruit, 4 cups veggies, etc.

:: EXERCISE ::
I didn’t write about this in my New Year, New Promises post because I wasn’t sure if I would actually be able to do it.
I challenged myself to 31 Days in a row of working out for the month of January.
So far, so good with at least 30 minutes, most days an hour, of exercise per day.

The January Plan is:

6 days a week I’m doing Tracy Anderson Metamorphosis/Continuity DVD’s.
I do the 30 minute toning video for those 6 days.
I have never been stronger since committing to these – she really knows how to build the teeny, tiny, muscles and tone.
If doing only her program, you are supposed to do 30 minutes of dance 6 days a week, but I like the treadmill, spin, etc, so I only dance on days when I’m not doing another form of cardio.
My sole motivation for working out is my true love television,
so Tracy’s workouts satisfy that 🙂
And I guess my second motivation would be food.  Oprah and I have that in common.

Although Fries, not Bread.
“I. love. fries. I love Fries, y’all.”
but not this month……  see you soon Waffle Fries…. tear.

One of my resolutions was to try a new fitness class each month.

Last week, I went and tried Blast !!
one of you emailed me about it when I moved to Atlanta, Thank you!

(and I ran into the sweetest reader Emily who calmed my nerves for the class! I was RULL scared.  I don’t run unless being chased after all.  Her killer bod was all I needed as motivation to get through it and I hope to go back this week).

I really loved the class.  You can make it work for whatever fitness level you are at, and it was a legit hard core workout. I had no idea the incline of a treadmill could go up that high.
They change it up from floor workto treadmill in 5/10/15 minute increments (ours was 10 + 5) so that when you want to lose your mind on the treadmill its time for the floor and vice versa. (seems like Orange Theory, and it was like Shred415 in Chicago).
Only thing I liked better about Shred415 in Chicago is that Shred is in a DARK ROOM.  I love me a dark room when working out with others.
I was super sore and felt exhausted in a great way.
PLUS. It’s next to Kale Me Crazy, my favorite healthy food chain here in Atlanta with great smoothies and wraps( again… if not TV…. the food motivates me….)

My goal is 2-3 classes per week, with 2 usually being a spin class. I’ve been trying to change up my cardio when not doing a spin class,

so at home I’ll do intervals on the treadmill {or just walk and then foam roll if I’m tired or sore},
Tone It Up HIIT workout videos,
and I just tried out some Tabata workout videos online.
Popsugar always has great workout videos to do at home.

:: RECIPES ::

I have been cooking dinner pretty much every night which I am pretty proud of!
My weekend staples have included protein pancakes every Saturday and Sunday morning.
I have posted about the Tone It Up Protein Pancakes previously,
and I have been making those regularly, but they definitely don’t have a traditional smooth batter.

Rocco DiSpirito has a Protein Pancake recipe that I tried and LOVE.
Kip loved these two and has eaten them several times already
(he won’t eat the Tone It Up pancakes though…. they taste “too healthy”).

Definitely give these a try – they are absolutely delicious.  SO GOOD.
Rocco’s Protein Pancakes

recipe via Today
makes 4 six-inch pancakes.

1 Scoop (or 32 Grams) Protein Powder (it’s about 1.5 scoops of Perfect Fit Protein)

2 Eggs
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 Cup Unsweetened Organic Applesauce

Whisk all ingredients in a bowl until well combined.

Heat skillet on medium heat and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
Pour about 3 ounces of batter, cook until the edges are just set, and flip to continue cooking about 30 seconds or so.
(They cook pretty fast).
For a sugar free syrup, combine 2 cups of blueberries with 1/4 cup of water and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.  Blend in a blender and pour over pancakes.

:: MOTIVATION ::

Oh…. and promise you won’t judge me?
I’m a serious sucker for a motivational quote.
I made a motivational quote the lock screen/home screen on my phone,
and then I change it up when I’m used to seeing it to a new quote.
This doesn’t have to be fitness related at all, just something positive.
Think about how many times you look at your phone?
To see a positive uplifting message helps lift my mood and gives me perspective for the day!
….. I feel like these are things I should keep to myself…. but it works.
Attitude is everything.

I’ll probably do another post like this soon because I found so many great options and had a hard time narrowing it down.

The fact that the white gown with the black sequined upper back is under $100 is mind boggling to me.

:: Grand Cayman + Friday Favorites ::

January 13, 2017

:: Grand Cayman + Friday Favorites ::
I have gotten requests for some Grand Cayman recommendations
so I wanted to get around to posting some photos from our Christmas trip!

We went to the Caymans for the first time for Spring Break in 2004, and we have been going back ever since.  It has become a Christmas tradition and one that I hope never stops!
It is the perfect place for a family vacation because it is safe, small, gorgeous, and there are things to do but not a ton so it encourages beach time and lazy days.  From Atlanta it is a quick 2-2.5 hour flight and then a 5 minute taxi once you land.

When you stay on 7 Mile Beach everything is a quick couple minute cab – or hopefully walk – away.  We have started out in Condos, did a couple of years at the Marriott, and now have been back at the condos for 3 years.
My lunch service and cooler of mixed drinks and beer isn’t quite as nice as the bartender  mixing daiquiris and mimosas and a killer Lobster Roll and Fries….. but everything else we like 10x more with the condo!  I really miss that lobster roll though…

Other than a day or two for Stingray City (which is incredible and my absolute favorite) and some snorkeling/diving (I don’t dive, but it is supposed to be incredible here) or fishing,
last years sting ray city, this year was deep sea fishing (womp womp)
everything else is laid back beach or pool time.  My kind of vacation 🙂
Beach all day + amazing dinners out at night = Heaven for me.
After the photos I have listed the restaurants we usually go to!

NOTE :
Deep Sea Fishing is NOT greater than Stingray City.
The boys wanted to change it up a bit.  {still do Stingray City hands down!}

The boys went to this one random liquor store one day and they had 4 Loco (not pictured) and the Island Version of 4 Loco (pictured) called “Drink Like A Boss”
I tried Drink Like A Boss and it was absolutely repulsive!
Isn’t 4 Loco illegal in the US or something?

I even love the airport (well… the inside is tiny with not a single thing to do, but the outside is great).
You check in and check your bags, and then we eat lunch up at the restaurant and you watch the planes take off and land until your flight.  It’s a great last hour in the Caymans versus sitting inside the airport!

Grand Cayman has the BEST restaurants ever.
Truly.  Other than Italy, which is just entirely different, Grand Cayman has the best food I have ever had.
I’m not even a seafood person, and of course the seafood is a main highlight at the restaurants, and I have the best steaks, pastas, tuna appetizers, conch fritters, desserts, even Italian food!

We tend to go to the same restaurants over and over again.
There are too many to name that we always say we want to try because we hear such great things, but then we never want to miss out on the ones we love.
So, there hasn’t been anything new in a few years and we stick to a solid 6 or so.

Restaurant Recommendations :
Calypso

If there is one restaurant I recommend the most, it is Calypso.  It has gotten busy here and the tables can be tight if you are there in high season, but it is incredible.  The food never disappoints, and you cannot leave without getting the Sticky Toffee Pudding for Dessert.
It is insanely, insanely amazing.  The name doesn’t do it justice – it’s one of the best desserts I have ever had! I also got the pasta special this year which was a Gnocchi with Brown Butter and Sage, and I never order Gnocchi, and we went back a second night and I ordered it again.  CRACK at this restaurant I swear. It’s so good.

The Wharf

Right on you guessed it, The Wharf! This is another one of our favorites.
Right on the water, the little cove is filled with Tarpon which are these hideous fish that you do not eat, but they ring a bell and everyone gets to feed.
I don’t know why, but it’s thrilling?
Love their shrimp cocktail and their conch fritters too!

Eduardo’s
This isn’t on the water or anything, but the food is incredible.  Even the bread they put on the table tastes like something out of this world.
Their lasagna kills me and I burned my mouth this year because I couldn’t wait to devour every bite.
I didn’t see him this year, but a smokin’ hot Irish guy Sean always ran this and greeted us 🙂 So that was a little disappointing not seeing him…..

Decker’s

They do an all you can eat Lobster night which the boys love.
This is walking distance from Ritz and Westin.

Grand Old House

This is closer to Georgetown on the other End of 7 Mile Beach.
We used to eat here for Christmas every year.
It is a gorgeous old house right on the water so everything is beautiful.
Plus on the drive you pass the governors mansion with all of the Christmas Lights (I think it’s the governors? I can’t remember whose it is?) which is a fun Christmas highlight!

Papagallo

This is a fun restaurant, especially if you have kids.
It is one of the further restaurants on the opposite side of Georgetown in West Bay.
You can eat inside or out, and the inside has a beautiful large thatched roof.
The best part is they have all of these gorgeous birds so it’s a pretty atmosphere, and kids obviously love looking at the birds.

This list is by no means all encompassing.
There are many other incredible restaurants on the island and I can promise the food won’t disappoint!

:: FRIDAY FAVORITES ::
I have been really feeling the ruffles and sleeves this week.
Ever since I got this top, I’ve been embracing it more and more. I
It’s back in stock in ALL sizes HERE.

But not all Ruffles are created equal.
I’ve rounded up 5 Different Ways to wear the Ruffle :
all under $100, most under $50 !

1. This tee is perfect for everyday, casual wear.
2. A great long sleeved option, with just a tiny bit of detail.
3. My favorite! This color would look so incredible with white jeans.
4. Adorable shoulder detailing.
5. Not exactly a ruffle, but a perfect bell sleeved top with the cutest bow tie back.
Oh! And this bell sleeve top that keeps selling out is fully restocked in all colors!

Sorry if the spacing keeps showing up strangely, it looks normal in the editor and then wacky when I publish it.
CHEERS to the WEEKEND!
