lusts for the week…….

I have blush on the brain this week ever since seeing this gorgeous skirt.

I would say that this gif reminds me I haven’t seen Steel Magnolias in forever and should watch it this weekend,

but I cried enough watching This Is Us last night,

 so I think I’m good for the week!

I am in love with the pink split neck shift dress, and it comes in several over gorgeous colors.  
I have been needing a new pair of sneakers for a while now, and this pink pair is definitely in the running. 
I have shared this purse before, my purse purchase for winter that is a look alike for an expensive designer style. 
I have a short sleeved t-shirt version of this cross front blouse and it gets a lot of wear.
This little ruffle side shift dress would be perfect for so many occasions (and comes in another gorgeous color that I share below). 

The blush and bashful Steel Magnolias moment got me thinking about the grey armadillo wedding cake, so why not some grey favorites for this week too!

My gown post on Monday left me drooling with dozens of others dresses I didn’t share.  This simple grey gown is so stunning; I love the high neck, the center slit in the front, and of course THE BACK! 
The reversible tote and clutch is a steal of a price, and a great color combo for winter into spring. 
I have been seeing shoe clips around lately and thing they are so cute and such a fun idea to change up what you already own. 
Layered pieces are my favorite (2-for-1 without the bulk!) and this layered sweatshirt would be a perfect daily piece. 
Still can’t get enough of the draped coat I shared last Wishlist Wednesday.  Gorgeous.

Has anyone tried these hair ties? The no-tie hairties that don’t dent your hair never keep my ponytail tight enough and I am always messing with my hair throughout my workouts.

 I wanted to share a couple of my favorite pieces that I’ve snagged lately.

I have had a hard time with the flutter sleeve on a lot of tops and dresses, and will occasionally just put my arm over it (so that the ruffle hands to the side of my body).

The ruffle on this top, however, is perfect and subtle – and I love the little swiss-dot-esque effect on the edge.   I love the dusty blue color of this shirt.  It’s such a very subtle blue, but it also comes in black.

I have found the best t-shirt ever, that technically isn’t a t-shirt.

I love this black blouse so much.  It is as soft as a t-shirt – and the fabric for the back is t-shirt material, the front has the  perfect flattering fit, and it looks just like the Vince blouse that is 5x the price.  
You know a designer knock off is my absolute fav. 

AND It’s on super sale down to under $30! 

I got these grey suede boots last year, and now they have the identical pair but with a little tie on the back that is so popular right now.  Forever 21 for the win!

That is definitely out of my budget, but this under $70 find is insanely gorgeous.  

I had been holding out for a winter purse, and I’m so glad because this one is perfect.

One more great black top and under $100 find that am I loving is this lace detail top.

It has a nice flowy sleeve and waist line, and I think it will look just as great in the summer with white jeans and sandals as it does now with dark denim and boots.

:: WEEKEND THINGS :: 

I had a great low-key weekend.

Snowmageddon was a tiny amount of ice that affected nothing at all, but God Bless that the city just shuts down with even the threat of ice and snow.  It’s amazing. 

We went to my favorite neighborhood sushi spot The One on Saturday night.

The Spicy Tuna on the Rocks is our hands down favorite (it’s like the crispy rice topped with tuna that Sunda has in Chicago and I die for it).  We tried the G6 Hand Roll this time and it’s like an amazing little sushi burrito, so I highly recommend that too! Also love the Sex + the City roll! 

Sunday I went antique/consignment/furniture store shopping with my mom and sister and grabbed lunch which was the perfect way to spend a Sunday.
I wanted evveerryyyything that was out of my budget entirely 🙂 

I have been wanting new nightstands for ages, and I am obsessed with these brass + marble end tables.

They are $500 each however. 
So. Yeah. Not gonna happen.

Heidi Klum makes the list more because she normally picks THE WORST dresses ever, and is so gorgeous so it gets so frustrating, but this one was pretty good for her. 
You know I love boobs, and it seemed like everyone wanted to show theirs last night.
Kristen Bell wins for best boobs hands down.  
Kristin Wiig’s hair…. eh…. I’m really not into it. 
But her and Steve Carrell were hilarious with their intro for their award. 


I of course watched E! Red Carpet like I always do.
The pre-red carpet was hosted by Brad Goreski, Kristin Cavallari, and Kris Jenner.

Why is Kris Jenner doing commentary on this?  It’s like E! just lets her do whatever she wants because her family is what keeps the network alive.
and I’m sorry, am I the only one that thinks her veneers look like an upper denture? they never look like separate teeth, but rather one large partial? but I digress….
