It’s still 90 degrees here in Atlanta, so why not talk about Fall Fashion!?
But really…. the cooler temps have to be coming at some point, and there are certain wardrobe staples you can turn to year after year.
One of those being a Trench Coat.

I snagged this Trench Coat last fall and it is the perfect transitional piece for fall and spring (and winter if you are lucky enough to live in warmer weather! These photos were taken in the middle of February, which would have been an arctic tundra in my Chicago days and I am wearing PEEP TOE BOOTIES. It’s things like this I always need to remind myself when I am sticking to my leather seats in September and wishing I was having rooftop cocktails on weekdays when I was young and fun and LIVING IN A CITY. (and no…. Atlanta…. you are not “going out on week nights” fun like Chicago…))

Trench Coats are so great for layering, especially during the in between weather we will all be experiencing this next month or two.
This draped trench coat is so soft it feels like a cozy sweatshirt – what could be better than that?
It comes in 5 colors and I love the navy blue and hunter green – I don’t remember them having those colors available last year!?!?
Something that can bug me with trench coats is that they aren’t always equally flattering open and closed. This jacket looks great wether is it worn open like in the photo or buttoned up and cinched at the waist!
