discuss amongst ya-selves.....
nothing crazy on The Bachelor this week.
except Tierra continues to get more and more obnoxious.
true sign of a devil child:
sobbing to smiling in one second.
It looks like something else insane goes on with her next week.

the girl who won't kiss him until she is the final one?
um.... I think you picked the wrong show.
no kissing!!! but boobies galore and having sean cop a feel and shove em all around - totally and completely fine!!
and seriously producers.... Roller Derby?
who is in charge of picking these dates?
knock it off.  NO ONE wants to do that.

kim wants to do her nose?
great line with the "knows noses"
ha.  you really cracked yourself up with that one.
anyone else think her surgeon looked like a killer in a scary movie? (aka a creepy guy I have seen on Fringe, a sci-fi thriller on the science network.  yes, this is what I am subjected to when the man-friend controlls the remote. but it stars Pacey... silver lining)
Camille gets back to her old self and gets saucy and bitchy next week....
I can't wait.

And please say you all saw WWHL with Yolanda.
She made
a music video
as a wedding gift for her husband
playing a flight attendant!!!
god bless you yolanda.
Best part: everyime she says "this" it sounds like "dis".
seriously... watch it.  now.

UMMM i had NO idea that these two were dating?!?
I love it.
{And don't worry. I have the issue where I think people are identical to their characters on shows in real life sometimes... but I saw the Behind the Actors studio for Mad Men and realized he is quite funny and normal.}
I hope she is back for the next season too.

other SAG commentary
giulianas hair was a hot freaking mess
was she trying to match the ruffle on the other side of her body?
and I thought busy phillips looked so cute.

oh lord RiRi

I mean, I guess we all already knew they were back together. I just can't get over the ridiculousness of this.
(ps. i still love your music.... and his.... damn it!)

um... i went to People's website yesterday and on the main page is this title: "Let's Make a Deal's" Door Girl Pregnant!
I literally need to go re-evaluate my life.... because apparently people who enjoy celeb news as much as I do have taken it so far as to care when ANYONE on TV has done ANYTHING.

Praise the Lord that josie went home on Top Chef last week.
If her diastema wasn't enough to drive me insane,
I think we have finally identified the worst laugh in the world.
nails on a blackboard.

I don't know how I feel about Project Runway having teams this year.
but I do know I am devastated there is no more Michael Kors,
I like Marc Jacobs, but I'm really going to miss him every week.
you know I will take this opportunity to
post as many gif's as possible of him:

I don't know why.... but now I am hooked on Vanderpump Rules.
I think now that they stopped focusing on Sheana
whose voice makes me want to stab my ears
and switched to Stassi (which we learned is short for Estacia.  fancy.)
I've been really into the drama.
(god I hate even typing these awful names).
"Drinking Jax's Crystal was a statement!!"

And yes... I know it is completely fake drama.
They all want to be actors and not just models!!
Never gonna happen.

and finally,
please go check out
The Last 24 of LiLo's life as told in Mean Girls GIFs on Perez Hilton.

Sweet as Pie

Tuesday, January 29, 2013

Sweet as Pie is a phrase I tend to use often.
I think it's one of the highest compliments you can give someone.
{for people... crack, as you know, is the highest compliment for food}.
"She/He is sweet as pie."
and I've been seeing lots of pie's popping up in my never ending Pinterest insomnia night's in bed.
like this guy:
I've been on a bit of a peanut butter kick lately.
I just can't get enough of it.
I've been starting the day with peanut butter toast and ending with an apple with peanut butter.

I wanted to make a peanut butter dessert, but I didn't want to make something too heavy and unhealthy.  The Martha Stewart Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie looked incredible.
Until I found another recipe,
with my other favorite ingredient in the world:
Greek Yogurt.
Yes. Please.

No more butter, sugar, cream cheese or heavy cream.
And only 3 ingredients! It took minutes to prepare.
Oreo crust, Greek Yogurt, Peanut Butter.

Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: N/A
  • 32 ounces vanilla Greek yogurt (I’m partial to Chobani)
  • 3/4 cup smooth peanut butter*
  • *I used reduced fat Peanut Butter too
  • 9-inch crust of your choice (Oreo, graham cracker, etc.)
In a large mixing bowl, stir the yogurt and peanut butter with a wire whisk until blended.  Spread into the prepared pie shell.  Chill the pie overnight (the pie will be thicker the longer it is chilled).  Serve with chopped peanut butter cups or whipped cream, if desired.
Nutrition stats per slice (1/10 of pie): 270 calories, 14g fat (3g sat), 22g carbohydrate (14 g sugar, 2g fiber), 14g protein
after sitting in the fridge overnight,
I melted some chocolate to drizzle over the top,
and crushed some Reese's peanut butter chips rather than full Reese's cups to help with the calories as well.
I'm sure the Martha version is incredible, but you can eat a whole lot more of this guy without any of the guilt!
and self control is still something I need some work on...

Weekend Recap + Monogram Monday

Monday, January 28, 2013

hope you all had a great weekend :)
I was busy hitting the books,
jacked up on caffeine and sweets,
but found some time for a little bit of fun at night.
My friend from Poland made these homemade Polish cookies called Orzeszki's.  They were incredible! Filled with the yummiest creamy filling.  I got all excited to make them until I realized the pan to make the shells is definitely not something they sell in the States.
And she said the shells take over 2 hours to make....
eh. I'll leave this one to her.

My girlfriends and I went on a lady date to Tortoise Club. Heels and everything.   It was super romantical.
It was delicious! The bar area seemed like a cozy place to grab drinks and an appetizer too.
Saturday night we hit up the neighborhood bar for some food and a little bit of pool.
I successfully learned an awesome pool trick, just not the one above. Almost as fancy in my opinion though. Pool has been our latest winter time crappy weather activity and I must say I am loving it.
I stayed warm + comfy in one of my favorite cashmere sweaters.
rag + bone jeans /  seychelles boots {similar}

and it's currently on sale at Nordstrom

after white knuckling it home on Sunday night exhausted, I laid in bed and obviously spent 2 hours on pinterest.
I decided that I am treating myself to a pedicure this week,
and you all know I flipped the hell out over this.
I mean.... have you EVER?!
I die.
I also attempted to stick to some resolutions and started throwing crap out organizing my closet.
These babies would be a dream.

I hope you all had a great weekend
(and drank lots of wine for me like I asked you to.)
